About the role

This role focuses on accurate invoice processing, payment coordination, and maintaining organized financial records in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate brings strong attention to detail, sound judgment with coding and approvals, and the ability to keep vendor payments moving efficiently.

Responsibilities

  • Review incoming invoices for accuracy, assign the appropriate account codes, and prepare them for timely processing.
  • Manage day-to-day accounts payable activities to help ensure vendors are paid correctly and within established deadlines.
  • Process ACH payments and assist with scheduled check runs while maintaining proper documentation for each transaction.
  • Reconcile payable records, investigate discrepancies, and work with internal teams or vendors to resolve outstanding issues.
  • Maintain organized files and supporting records for invoices, payment activity, and related financial documentation.
  • Monitor payment schedules and priorities to support smooth cash disbursement operations and consistent workflow.
  • Communicate professionally with vendors and internal stakeholders regarding invoice status, payment questions, and account details.

Requirements

  • Experience performing accounts payable duties in a detail-focused business environment.
  • Working knowledge of invoice coding and general ledger account assignment.
  • Hands-on experience processing ACH transactions and supporting check payment cycles.
  • Strong accuracy and attention to detail when reviewing financial documents and payment information.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a high-volume setting.
  • Proficiency with standard accounting systems and Microsoft Office tools, especially Excel.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills for interacting with vendors and internal teams.
