Accounts Payable Specialist

Empire Distributing, a subsidiary of Outova, is seeking a dependable, detail-oriented Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team in Arcade, New York.

Responsibilities

• Managing the full-cycle accounts payable process
• Processing, coding, and reviewing vendor invoices
• Performing two-way and three-way invoice matching
• Communicating with vendors and resolving discrepancies
• Preparing check and ACH payment batches
• Reconciling vendor accounts and supporting month-end close
• Assisting with 1099 reporting, audits, and financial documentation
• Identifying opportunities to improve AP processes and efficiency

Requirements

• 3–5 years of Accounts Payable or related accounting experience
• Strong knowledge of invoice processing, payments, reconciliations, and PO matching
• Experience with accounting/ERP systems and Microsoft Excel
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
• Strong communication, problem-solving, and follow-through
• Distribution or wholesale experience is a plus
