Main duties and responsibilities
- Analyze, verify and post transactions to journals, ledgers, and other records
- Process accounts payable and accounts receivable
- Support the monthly close process as needed
- Prepare account reconciliations
- Aid in the preparation of monthly financial reports
- Perform special accounting projects and analyses as needed
- Maintain files and documentation thoroughly and accurately
- Assist associates in other areas of the accounting department as needed
- Achieved Associate's degree in accounting, finance, or business OR equivalent experience
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office software, particularly Word, PowerPoint, and Excel; capability to work in and create spreadsheets
- Experience with ERP and financial software
- Experience in a manufacturing accounting office, preferably at a large company
