Accounts Payable Clerk
Responsibilities
- Review incoming invoices for accuracy, completeness, and proper approval before processing
- Assign correct accounting codes to invoices and enter payment details into the accounts payable system
- Prepare and support scheduled check runs to ensure vendors are paid on time
- Monitor invoice activity and follow up on missing information or discrepancies with internal teams and suppliers
- Maintain organized payment records and supporting documentation for audit and reporting purposes
- Absorb routine accounts payable tasks to ensure consistent and efficient invoice processing
Requirements
- Experience supporting accounts payable functions in an office environment that requires strong attention to detail
- Working knowledge of invoice coding and payment processing procedures
- Ability to manage check runs with strong attention to timing and accuracy
- High level of precision when entering financial data and reviewing documentation
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to handle recurring deadlines
- Clear communication skills for coordinating with vendors and internal stakeholders
