Accounts Payable Clerk

About the Role

A rapidly growing local organization is seeking an Accounts Payable & Bookkeeping Specialist to join its expanding accounting team. The role will initially focus on accounts payable, vendor management, and bookkeeping activities, with the opportunity to take on additional responsibilities as the company continues to grow.

Responsibilities

• Process high-volume accounts payable transactions accurately and efficiently
• Review invoices and ensure proper coding and approvals
• Maintain vendor records and manage vendor communications
• Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies
• Support account reconciliations and month-end processes
• Maintain organized financial records and documentation
• Assist with bookkeeping and general accounting functions
• Identify opportunities to improve processes and efficiencies
• Collaborate with internal teams and leadership
• Provide additional administrative and accounting support as needed

Qualifications

• Experience in accounts payable, bookkeeping, or general accounting
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
• Excellent communication and follow-through
• Proficiency with accounting software and Microsoft Excel
• Experience working in a fast-paced environment preferred
• Ability to adapt as processes and responsibilities evolve
