Accounts Payable Analyst

Location: Evanston, IL (2 days onsite)

Compensation: $30/hour

About the role

We are seeking a contract professional to support the Vendor Maintenance team. This individual will play a key role in helping reduce onboarding backlogs, improve turnaround times, and ensure new supplier requests are processed efficiently and accurately.

Responsibilities

• Manage and process supplier onboarding requests from initiation through completion.
• Coordinate the collection, review, and validation of required supplier documentation.
• Ensure supplier records are accurately established and maintained within company systems.
• Monitor onboarding workflows and proactively follow up with internal stakeholders and suppliers to drive timely completion.
• Support vendor maintenance activities, including updates to supplier information and data integrity reviews.
• Research and resolve onboarding issues, discrepancies, and documentation gaps.
• Track request status, prioritize workload, and help improve overall turnaround times.
• Partner with Procurement, Accounts Payable, Compliance, and other cross-functional teams to facilitate supplier setup activities.
• Identify process improvement opportunities and assist in streamlining supplier onboarding workflows.
• Maintain compliance with company policies and supplier governance requirements.

Requirements

• Experience supporting supplier onboarding, vendor maintenance, accounts payable, or a related operational function.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage complex requests.
• Experience working with workflow management systems, ERP platforms, or supplier management tools preferred.
• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy.
• Effective communication and stakeholder management skills.
