Accounts Payable Accountant

We are looking for an Accounts Payable Accountant to join our team in Olathe, Kansas on a Contract basis. This role will support day-to-day payables activities, helping ensure invoices are entered accurately, payments are processed on schedule, and vendor records remain well organized. The ideal candidate brings hands-on experience in accounts payable and is comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with strong attention to detail. Responsibilities: • Process vendor invoices accurately and in a timely manner, ensuring proper coding and complete documentation. • Review and enter accounts payable transactions into the accounting system while maintaining organized financial records. • Prepare and support payment activities, including ACH transactions and scheduled check runs. • Verify invoice details, resolve discrepancies, and follow up with internal teams or vendors as needed. • Maintain vendor information and help ensure payments are issued in accordance with company procedures. • Assist with day-to-day accounts payable operations to support accurate and efficient financial processing. • Contribute to system-related accounts payable activities, including supporting future tools such as ORG or Ramp if needed. • Experience performing accounts payable duties in a business environment. • Knowledge of invoice processing, invoice coding, and vendor invoice entry. • Hands-on experience with ACH payments and check run preparation. • Familiarity with NetSuite or similar accounting software. • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage a high volume of transactions accurately. • Ability to communicate clearly when addressing payment questions or invoice discrepancies.
