Responsibilities
- Manage the full accounts payable cycle, including invoice entry, coding, approval routing, and payment processing.
- Review and reconcile vendor statements on a regular basis.
- Ensure invoices are accurately coded to appropriate accounts and cost categories.
- Investigate and resolve invoice discrepancies, vendor inquiries, and payment issues.
- Maintain accurate vendor records and payment terms.
- Implement and maintain invoice matching and approval processes.
- Support royalty payment management and payables on licensed bags.
- Maintain accurate inventory accounting processes, including reconciliation and analysis of inventory variances.
- Monitor inventory-related financial reporting and ensure accuracy of cost of goods sold (COGS).
- Prepare reconciliations and schedules supporting the monthly close process.
- Complete bank reconciliations and inventory-related account reconciliations.
- Aid in the preparation of month-end accounting activities and provide accurate, organized financial information to accounting leadership and external advisors.
- Identify process improvements and help establish scalable accounting procedures.
Qualifications
- 3+ years of accounting experience, including accounts payable responsibilities.
- Experience with inventory accounting in a product-based business.
- Strong understanding of: Accounts Payable, Inventory Reconciliation, Cost of Goods Sold (COGS), Inventory Adjustments, Month-End Close Processes.
- Proficiency with QuickBooks.
- Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables, lookups, and reconciliation reporting.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
