Accounts Payable Accountant

Responsibilities

• Coding of ad-hoc payments and supplier invoices within accounting software systems
• Review of expense reports and p-card transactions for accuracy and compliance with established company policies
• Three-way match of receipts, purchase orders, and supplier invoices
• Vendor maintenance, including set-up and changes
• Monitoring and responding to suppliers and vendors via shared email inbox
• Preparing basic/standard journal entries, including recurring journal entries and month end accruals
• Performing monthly balance sheet and account reconciliations
• Working closely with multiple department leaders on their financial results
• Aiding in the analytical review of financial results and understanding factors driving variances
• Contributing to the development and review of process documentation and internal controls
• Ensuring accuracy and thoroughness in work; seeking ways to improve quality and promoting quality
• Maintaining productivity standards and completing work in a timely manner
• Striving to increase productivity and working quickly
• Following proper internal audit guidelines
• Supporting and contributing to the department's commitment to diversity and inclusiveness
• Handling other ad hoc requests from the business or finance leaders

Requirements

• BS or BBA in accounting required
• Experience with Workday preferred
• Customer service orientation
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both oral and written
• Attention to detail and accuracy
• Advanced Microsoft Office skills (primarily Excel)
• Ability to prioritize and manage expectations
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively to meet deadlines

Pay

The salary range for this position is $50,000 - $75,000 annually.

Schedule

The schedule for this position is Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM.
