Job Responsibilities
- Maintains financial records
- Prepares and reconciles accounts
- Processes deposits and journal entries
- Supports accounts payable and accounts receivable activities
- Assists with month-end and year-end closing processes
- Prepares financial reports and supporting documentation
- Maintains accuracy of inventory records within the financial management system
- Monitors account balances and expenditures for compliance with budgets and funding requirements
- Ensures financial documentation is complete, organized, and audit-ready
- Assists with internal and external audits
- Responds to inquiries regarding financial transactions
- Interprets and applies established accounting policies, procedures, and applicable regulations
- Maintains strict confidentiality of financial information
- Performs other related accounting and financial support duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications
- High school diploma/GED and two (2) years of job-related accounting or fiscal experience
- One (1) year of experience at the lower level Accounting Technician Trainee (FIT019) or position equivalent
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting
- One year of professional accounting experience
- Advanced proficiency in MS Excel
- Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills
