Accounting Team Manager (Manufacturing) - Multi-Client Exp. Required
About the role
We are seeking a Controller with extensive experience in small business accounting operations in multiple industries. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in general accounting principles, with specialties in inventory management, e-commerce, compliance, and manufacturing.
Responsibilities
- Own month-end close, including inventory and COGS accuracy
- Analyze margins, cost drivers, and production variances
- Support and oversee inventory reconciliations and cycle counts
- Work closely with operations, purchasing, and production teams
- Develop and manage processes and systems
- Make informed decisions based on data analysis
Requirements
- Strong inventory accounting (raw materials, WIP, finished goods)
- Deep cost accounting experience (standard costing, job costing, variance analysis)
- Experience with BOMs and production costing
- Hands-on with QuickBooks Enterprise (required) and other ERPs (NetSuite, SAP, Dynamics or similar)
- Excel proficiency for costing and data analysis
- Leadership and mentoring experience
- Software / Application / Integration Experience (QuickBooks, Xero, Zoho, R365, Sage/Intacct, Netsuite, Dext, Expensify, Bill.com, Veem, Hubdoc, Avalara, TaxJar, Google Workspace, Sharefile, OneDrive, Dropbox, Sharepoint, etc.)
Qualifications
- Accounting degree or equivalent
- CPA candidate preferred
