Responsibilities

• Perform and coordinate a variety of administrative duties and tasks, including the setup of operational procedures and workflows.
• Implement fund data using private equity (PE) software.
• Maintain strong, consultative relationships with key clients.
• Deliver client service requirements, including the review and preparation of workpapers and financial statements.
• Assist manager(s) in training junior staff, establishing operational procedures, preparing capital call and distribution notices, and performing management fee calculations and waterfalls.
• Support the year-end audit and tax process.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (required).
• 5+ years of experience in Private Equity Fund accounting with closed-end fund structures.
• CPA, MBA, or Master’s Degree (advantage).
• Previous experience leading people (plus).
• Ability to work toward and meet agreed deadlines.
• Experience with Allvue, Paxus, Geneva, Investran, eFront, or comparable technology (advantage).
• Prior experience with incentive fees, waterfall distributions, allocations, financial statements, or subsequent closes (plus).

Location

Apex Group is reviewing its office location strategy in the Greater Toronto Area and may operate from a single office in Mississauga or Toronto’s downtown financial district.

Pay

Salary ranges from CAD $110,000.00 to CAD $130,000.00, plus a discretionary yearly bonus based on corporate and individual performance. Compensation within this range depends on skills, experience, and qualifications.
