About the Role
This accounting position involves work across multiple areas, including:
- Ensuring compliance with financial transaction recording standards (e.g., general ledger, cash payments/collections, tax transactions).
- Control and reconciliation of accounts and records (balance sheet, P&L, bank accounts).
- Preparation of accounting reports and schedules for internal (management reporting) and external (compliance reporting) audiences, including financial statement consolidation, cash flow reporting, and budget reporting.
- Potential involvement in cost accounting, budgeting, variance analysis, accounts payable/receivable, and credit & collections.
Individuals in this role apply theoretical knowledge from formal education and on-the-job training to solve complex problems, improve products/services, and influence organizational objectives. Work is performed under general direction with significant autonomy in planning and execution.
Responsibilities
- Perform accounting functions with a focus on compliance, reconciliation, and reporting.
- Develop solutions to complex problems using best practices and industry knowledge.
- Mentor, coach, or train less experienced colleagues.
- Interact with senior internal and external personnel to coordinate programs or projects.
- Adhere to Safe Quality Food (SQF) responsibilities, including:
- Following plant rules, hygiene, and allergen procedures.
- Reporting unsafe conditions or SQF noncompliance.
- Participating in SQF root cause and corrective actions.
Requirements
- BA or equivalent + 6 years of related experience, or MA + 4 years of related experience.
- Ability to perform essential functions of the position, with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Conceptual and practical expertise in accounting, with growing knowledge of industry practices.
- Strong problem-solving skills and judgment in selecting methods/techniques for solutions.
- Ability to influence organizational objectives and long-range goals.

Pay
$62,600.00 - $83,400.00 per year.
