About the role

We are strengthening our Accounting team at Ferrari Financial Services, Inc. and seeking a Senior Accounting Specialist based in Englewood Cliffs, NJ. In this role, you will assist in the company’s financial closing process, maintain accuracy of financial information, and ensure adherence to internal controls and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Conduct general ledger activities related to Ferrari Financial Services, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and account analysis.
• Assist with financial statement preparation and submission to the Parent company.
• Maintain and update the portfolio asset database system, using results to create a robust reporting structure.
• Comply with monthly, quarterly, and annual public company reporting requirements.
• Manage third-party providers for accounting, account reconciliations, and lease/loan administration system inquiries.
• Coordinate daily dealer funding, including review of contracts and required supporting documentation.
• Review and approve manual journal entries.
• Maintain regular interaction with colleagues at the Maranello factory and respond promptly to inquiries.
• Calculate and review payoffs as requested by the business.
• Verify all dealer finance commission payouts.
• Assist with periodic state reporting requirements.
• Handle tax requests and annual audit requests.
• Address ad hoc requests and drive process improvements as needed.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting and/or Finance.
• 5-7 years of relevant accounting experience.

Skills

• Experience with G/L functions and the month-end/year-end close process.
• Experience in auto industry accounting, finance company accounting, or public accounting is a plus.
• CPA is highly desirable.
• Knowledge of Flexi financial software is a plus.
• Thorough knowledge of cost center and balance sheet analysis.
• Knowledge of financial statement flux analysis.
• Ability to multi-task in a dynamic, ever-changing environment.
• Highly proficient in Microsoft Office.
