Accounting Specialist | M–F Schedule | $55,000–$65,000 | Growing Local Company

Responsibilities

• Perform daily sales and receipts reconciliations and posting
• Reconcile daily vendor invoices
• Manage day-to-day Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable functions
• Reconcile and pay monthly vendor statements
• Post credit card transactions and reconcile monthly statements
• Prepare journal entries and account reconciliations
• Prepare intercompany journal entries
• Auxiliary with the month-end close process
• Serve as backup for weekly payroll processing
• Meet processing and reporting deadlines
• Perform accounting functions according to GAAP
• Recommend and implement process improvements to increase efficiency
• Auxiliary with other accounting and administrative projects as needed

Requirements

• 3+ years of accounting experience in a similar role
• Strong understanding of GAAP and accounting best practices
• Experience with Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and account reconciliations
• Proficiency in QuickBooks Desktop
• QuickBooks Enterprise experience is a plus
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
• High attention to detail and accuracy
• Able to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
• Self-motivated with a desire to learn and continuously improve
• Positive attitude and ability to work well with a team
