Job Summary

Heritage Carpet & Tile LLC., a division of Artisan Design Group (ADG), is seeking a detail-oriented Accounting Specialist to support the daily accounting operations of the business.

Requirements

  • ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
    • Process accounts payable invoices, expense reports, and vendor payments.
    • Prepare customer invoices and support accounts receivable collections.
    • Apply customer payments and resolve discrepancies.
    • Reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, and assigned balance sheet accounts.
    • Prepare and post routine journal entries.
    • Aid with month end, quarter end, and year end closing activities.
    • Maintain vendor and customer master records.
    • Research and resolve accounting discrepancies.
    • Prepare reports and schedules for management and audits.
    • Ensure compliance with company policies and internal controls.
    • Identify process improvements.
    • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
    • EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS:
      • Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field, or equivalent experience.
      • 2 to 5 years of accounting, accounts payable, accounts receivable, or general accounting experience.
      • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and ERP/accounting systems.
      • Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
    • PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
      • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
      • Multi entity accounting experience.
      • Construction, manufacturing, flooring, or distribution experience.

Physical Demands

  • Ability to remain seated for extended periods while working on a computer.
  • Occasionally lift up to 20 pounds.
  • Ability to review detailed financial information and communicate effectively.

Work Environment

  • Professional office environment with regular interaction across operations, finance, vendors, and leadership.
  • Fast paced with changing priorities while maintaining confidentiality and accuracy.
