Accounting Specialist

About the Role A mission-driven nonprofit in Sacramento is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accounting Specialist to join its Finance team. This position is responsible for a range of accounting duties, including AP/AR and payroll duties.Key ResponsibilitiesProcess AP/AR and payroll related taskVerify invoice accuracy and approvalsManage check runs, deposits and ACH. Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies and payment issues. Track AP aging and ensure compliance wiht audit requirements. Monitor AR aging reports, followup for overdue accounts. Reconcile customer accounts, process credit memos and adjustmentsRespond to customer billing inquiries Process payroll of 250+ employees.
