Job Description
The Client Advisory Services Manager is responsible for tackling complex accounting issues, identifying strategic and consulting opportunities, and enjoys cultivating client relationships. The CAS Manager oversees multiple projects, ensuring they are completed on time, that client expectations are met, and that projects are billed regularly. Client interaction is a key part of this role, including delivery of management reports.
Responsibilities
- Performing detail review of monthly/quarterly/annual recurring project workflows.
- Runs ongoing, recurring client meetings independently.
- Consulting engagements with clients needing specific support or services, which includes effective management of client relationships and expectations.
- Onboarding new clients including identifying client needs, quoting new projects, and developing a team around workload and skillsets required.
- Assists the tax department as needed for tax strategy and manages interdepartmental communications related to assigned projects.
- Billing on a timely basis for assigned projects, which includes analyzing the WIP and identifying opportunities for efficiencies as well as communicating value to clients.
- Demonstrates a strong understanding of accounting and finance concepts including the interpretation of financial statements and an understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles.
- Coaching and development of team members
- Adhere to all relevant information security policies and procedures, ensuring the protection of sensitive data and upholding the integrity and confidentiality of the company information.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Problem solving capabilities.
- Experience with a variety of accounting software packages (ex - QuickBooks, SAP, NetSuite, Xero, SAGE Intact, Dynamics, Great Plains, Acumatica) and technology solutions is preferred.
- Familiarity with sales tax registrations and filings is preferred.
- Familiarity with payroll processing is preferred.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or other related field
- Minimum of 5 years of related experience. CPA or CPA eligible preferred
