Accounting & Payroll Specialist

What You'll Do

• Process full-cycle, multi-state payroll accurately and on schedule.
• Utilize ADP to process weekly, bi-weekly, monthly, bonus, and off-cycle payrolls.
• Audit payroll reports, calculations, carrier feeds, and system data to ensure accuracy.
• Prepare payroll-related journal entries and reconcile payroll transactions within the ERP system.
• Support accounting functions by maintaining accurate financial records related to payroll activity.
• Manage monthly benefits billing and assist with paid leave administration.
• Assist with year-end payroll activities, including W-2 processing, audits, reporting, and compliance.
• Respond to employee payroll inquiries with professionalism and confidentiality.
• Identify opportunities to improve payroll and accounting processes while helping resolve discrepancies.

What We're Looking For

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field preferred.
• 3+ years of experience processing multi-state payroll.
• Experience with payroll journal entries, reconciliations, or other accounting support functions.
• HRIS experience required; ADP experience strongly preferred.
• Strong understanding of payroll taxes, compliance, and payroll accounting principles.
• Exceptional attention to detail with strong analytical and organizational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and work independently.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to maintain confidentiality.
• Must be able to successfully complete a background check and drug screening.

Pay & Benefits

Salary: $65,000+ (flexible based on experience)

Schedule: Monday – Friday | 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM | 100% In-Office
