About the role

We are seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Payroll & Accounting Assistant to join our remote team. This entry-level position is ideal for someone interested in developing practical experience in payroll, bookkeeping, and general accounting operations. The successful candidate will assist with routine financial and payroll-related tasks, maintain accurate records, and support the accounting team with day-to-day administrative responsibilities. Training and guidance will be provided.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with processing and maintaining payroll records.
• Enter and organize financial and payroll data accurately.
• Review timesheets, employee information, and payroll documentation.
• Assist with basic accounts payable and accounts receivable tasks.
• Maintain organized digital accounting and payroll files.
• Reconcile basic financial records and identify discrepancies.
• Assist with preparing routine reports and documentation.
• Respond to internal questions regarding payroll and accounting information.
• Maintain confidentiality when handling employee and financial information.
