Accounting Manager/Supervisor

Responsibilities

• Manage full-cycle accounting, including AP/AR, reconciliations, and month-end close
• Oversee construction job costing and cost accounting
• Maintain accurate financial reporting across multiple entities
• Support certified payroll and compliance for government projects
• Improve existing accounting processes and internal workflows
• Work closely with ownership to provide timely and accurate financial information
• Maintain QuickBooks and ensure data integrity

Qualifications

• Construction accounting experience required
• Strong QuickBooks experience
• Job cost accounting and cost accounting experience required
• Experience managing accounting for multiple entities preferred
• Knowledge of certified payroll and government project compliance is a plus
• Self-starter who can work independently and help improve accounting operations
• Prior experience in construction accounting is required
• Strong working knowledge of QuickBooks, including desktop and online environments, is essential
• Demonstrated background in job cost accounting and broader cost accounting practices
• Experience handling accounting activities for more than one entity is strongly preferred
• Familiarity with certified payroll administration and compliance standards for government projects is an advantage
• Proven ability to manage month-end close, general ledger activity, reconciliations, and journal entries with accuracy
• Comfortable working independently, identifying gaps in existing processes, and driving operational improvements
