Accounting Manager - High Visibility Role!

Sue Sumrell is recruiting for an Accounting Manager to join this well-respected professional services firm in Portland.

This is a hands-on role with real impact—ideal for someone who thrives in a detail-driven, fast-paced environment and wants visibility across the business. Also an ideal role for someone leaving public accounting with tax experience with a desire to move into an accounting role!

Responsibilities

• Own the month-end close and financial integrity
• High exposure to leadership and decision-making
• Blend of hands-on work + oversight

Requirements

• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including responsibility for close processes and account reconciliations.
• Strong working knowledge of general ledger management, journal entries, and month-end close procedures.
• Experience supporting financial statement audits and preparing documentation for audit requests.
• Ability to work in a hands-on capacity while also providing oversight and direction within the accounting function.
• High attention to detail with a consistent focus on accuracy, organization, and internal control standards.
• Background in public accounting or professional services firm.
• CPA credential preferred.

Qualifications
