Accounting Manager, Corporate Accounting

About the role

The Corporate Accounting Manager supports Amazon's global accounting operations through financial reporting, technical accounting research, and cross-functional collaboration. This role focuses on supporting system implementation projects related to corporate reporting functions and foreign exchange accounting, while also supporting process improvement and operational close processes.

Responsibilities

• Support system implementation projects, including defining accounting requirements and validating outputs
• Identify and implement process improvements and automation opportunities
• Conduct financial reporting research and prepare technical position papers
• Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders including finance, legal, tax, and statutory accounting teams
• Perform risk assessments and evaluate control considerations within a complex, high-growth environment

Requirements

• Deep understanding of internal controls, with the ability to assess control design, evaluate completeness and accuracy of system outputs, and apply structured testing methodologies to ensure reliable and compliant results throughout the implementation lifecycle
• Ability to operate independently in a fast-paced environment while partnering effectively across teams

Qualifications

• 5+ years of finance or a related analytical field experience
• Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field
• Preferred: CPA, Knowledge of internal control framework (specifically COSO), experience in accounting management in Big Four with Fortune 500 clients, experience participating in system implementation projects, including requirements definition, UAT, and post-go-live support, experience supporting system implementation lifecycles

Pay

Base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs).

• USA, MA, Boston - 95,400.00 - 163,200.00 USD annually
• USA, OR, Portland - 95,400.00 - 163,200.00 USD annually
• USA, TN, Nashville - 85,900.00 - 146,900.00 USD annually
• USA, TX, Austin - 95,400.00 - 163,200.00 USD annually
• USA, VA, Arlington - 95,400.00 - 163,200.00 USD annually
• USA, WA, Seattle - 95,400.00 - 163,200.00 USD annually

Schedule

Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
