Finance Operations Accounting & Analysis (FOAA) performs accounting and financial planning & analysis services for Finance Operations, Central Accounting, and other Amazon Finance teams. The team’s vision is to create a world‑class Accounting and Finance organization that raises the controllership bar, fosters continuous improvement, builds scalable processes and intelligent tools to support financial reporting and strategic decision‑making, and lowers the company’s cost structure. FOAA seeks an experienced Finance Manager to support Accounts Receivable Accounting. The role will lead operational excellence initiatives, improve controllership, execute recurring and holistic analytics, build analytical frameworks for cross‑functional teams, design and implement process improvements, cultivate an environment that values development, diversity, and growth, partner with and influence key stakeholders, demonstrate ownership and sound judgment, drive innovation, and evaluate and streamline existing operational and accounting processes, controls, and metrics. This position is based in Seattle, WA, USA.
Responsibilities
- Lead operational excellence initiatives with strategic significance and high organizational exposure
- Improve controllership by identifying risks, documenting findings, and designing scalable solutions
- Execute recurring and holistic analytics to support business decisions
- Build analytical frameworks for use by multiple cross‑functional teams
- Design and implement process improvements across operational and accounting functions

- Partner with and influence key stakeholders across multiple organizations
- Demonstrate ownership and sound judgment in decisions with financial, business, operational, or customer implications
- Drive innovation by leading the team to take smart risks

- Apply extensive financial statement audit and corporate accounting expertise to problem‑solving
Requirements
- 5+ years of tax, finance, or a related analytical field experience
