About The Role
The role leads the day-to-day accounting operations, financial reporting, and internal control compliance, ensuring the integrity of the corporate ledger. This position owns the month-end close process, technical accounting evaluations, and the preparation of GAAP-compliant financial statements. Operating in a fast-paced environment, the role acts as a critical link between daily transaction processing and strategic financial reporting. The team relies on this position to scale accounting infrastructure, implement automated systems, and maintain a robust SOX-compliant control environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the end-to-end month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes, ensuring accurate and timely consolidated financial statements.
- Review journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and variance analyses in accordance with US GAAP standards.
- Lead the preparation of key financial disclosure schedules and support SEC-aligned reporting requirements.
- Design, implement, and monitor internal controls over financial reporting (ICFR) to ensure ongoing SOX compliance.
- Cook up with external auditors to facilitate quarterly reviews, annual audits, and technical accounting inquiries.
- Optimize corporate accounting systems, driving automation in NetSuite or similar ERP platforms to reduce close cycle times.
What We Are Looking For
- 5-8 years of progressive accounting experience, ideally combining Big 4 public accounting and corporate tech experience.
- Active CPA license is required.
- Strong technical knowledge of US GAAP, SOX Section 404, and SEC reporting frameworks.
- Proven experience managing general ledger functions, foreign currency translations, and consolidated entities.
- Advanced proficiency in NetSuite, SQL, and Excel for complex financial modeling and data reconciliation.
- Bonus: Experience managing automated revenue recognition under ASC 606 or equity administration software.
