Accounting Manager

Responsibilities

• Supervise and manage accounting staff, including coaching, mentoring, and performance management.
• Address performance concerns in a positive, constructive manner.
• Enforce company policies and determine appropriate disciplinary actions when necessary.
• Ensure a collaborative, productive, and accountable team environment.
• Responsible for Corporate Accounting function. Perform day-to-day accounting tasks, which include heavy spreadsheet work.
• Conduct monthly projections.
• Manage payroll reporting and maintain insurance eligibility reports.
• Maintain and prepare Excel spreadsheets for tracking and financial analysis.
• Enter and review transactions within the accounting system.
• Aid in month-end, quarter-end, and year-end processes as required.
• Communicate and negotiate with third-party vendors, including IT providers, office equipment suppliers, and other service partners.
• Support operational efficiency through the timely resolution of vendor-related issues.
• Ensure smooth ongoing communication between accounting and cross-functional business partners.

Qualifications

• 5+ years’ experience in hands-on accounting management.
• Strong Excel skills are required.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.

Compensation

Salary range: $90,000–$125,000, depending on skills and experience. The salary flexibility may be considered for exceptional applicants.

Position Scope

This is not a review-only or oversight-only leadership role; it requires extensive hands-on involvement in daily accounting work. The ideal candidate will come from a small company environment where they have combined strong technical accounting ability with proven management experience, acting as both a contributor and leader.
