Accounting Manager, Accounting & Finance Department

Duties and Responsibilities

• Oversight of a team of individuals who ensure transactions are recorded in accordance with GAAP and applicable accounting policies.
• Perform detailed reconciliations reviews for balance sheet accounts monthly.
• Responsible for ensuring the monthly close process is executed timely and all balance sheet reconciliations are completed accurately.
• Ensure capital expenditure reporting is accurate and distributed timely.
• Assist with monthly, quarterly and annual financial statement close reporting including preparation of footnotes with proper support.
• Build and maintain relationships with internal and external partners.
• Aid in system design and implementations when appropriate.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree with a major in Accounting
• Public accounting experience (Big 4) or large regional firm experience, CPA or CPA candidate desired
• In‐depth understanding of US GAAP
• Experience working with balance sheet reconciliations
• Strong analytical and problem‐solving skills – ability to identify discrepancies, perform research, and work toward resolution
• Strong computer skills, including experience with Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint
• Strong organizational and interpersonal skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Must be able to effectively handle multiple projects simultaneously in a deadline driven environment
