Manager, Accounting & Finance
About the role
Axos Bank Target Range: $80,000.00/Yr. - $120,000.00/Yr. Actual starting pay will vary based on factors including, but not limited to, geographic location, experience, skills, specialty, and education.
Responsibilities
- Assist accounting senior management in maintaining and updating a documented system of accounting policies, procedures, and process documents
- Review and process approved GL maintenance transactions
- Complete primary review of specified reconciliations, including daily intercompany transactions and operations
- Complete primary review and release of specified manual journal entries
- Implement new accounting systems and integrate current systems to reduce manual processes and automate controls
- Absorb and execute the month end close process as directed by accounting senior management
- Absorb and assist with special projects as directed by accounting senior management
- Create support for independent public accounting auditors, regulators and internal auditors as directed by accounting senior management
- Create processes from the technical aspects of an area though the application (including SOX requirements)
- Create analysis related to new regulatory or business models, including adapting analysis on process to incorporate new products or initiatives
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation preferred
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting and finance roles
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and SOX compliance
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Proven ability to manage and lead a team effectively
