Manager, Accounting & Finance

About the role

Axos Bank Target Range: $80,000.00/Yr. - $120,000.00/Yr. Actual starting pay will vary based on factors including, but not limited to, geographic location, experience, skills, specialty, and education.

Responsibilities

• Assist accounting senior management in maintaining and updating a documented system of accounting policies, procedures, and process documents
• Review and process approved GL maintenance transactions
• Complete primary review of specified reconciliations, including daily intercompany transactions and operations
• Complete primary review and release of specified manual journal entries
• Implement new accounting systems and integrate current systems to reduce manual processes and automate controls
• Absorb and execute the month end close process as directed by accounting senior management
• Absorb and assist with special projects as directed by accounting senior management
• Create support for independent public accounting auditors, regulators and internal auditors as directed by accounting senior management
• Create processes from the technical aspects of an area though the application (including SOX requirements)
• Create analysis related to new regulatory or business models, including adapting analysis on process to incorporate new products or initiatives

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation preferred
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting and finance roles
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and SOX compliance
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Proven ability to manage and lead a team effectively
