Accounting Lead, Partnership Accounting
About the role
The Partnership Accounting team plays a critical role in driving the accuracy, integrity, and overall success of our partnership accounting function. This team is at the forefront of high-complexity work, supporting Limited Partnership offerings and delivering meaningful impact across the business.
Responsibilities
- Proactively identify gaps, inefficiencies, and emerging risks within partnership accounting processes, and lead improvements that enhance accuracy, timeliness, and the overall partner experience.
- Inspire and develop a high-performing team by providing coaching, mentorship, and thoughtful feedback to Analysts and Senior Analysts, cultivating both technical expertise and career growth.
- Design, execute, and optimize complex calculation models across multiple partner offerings, ensuring alignment with broader business objectives and firm-wide initiatives.
- Act as a trusted subject matter expert and escalation point, navigating complex partner scenarios and interpreting partnership agreements to deliver clear, effective solutions.
- Partner cross-functionally with teams including Income Tax, Legal, Treasury, Digital, and external stakeholders to solve challenges, drive transparency, and create value in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
- Champion continuous improvement by leveraging data and insights to streamline processes and elevate the overall impact of the partnership accounting function.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required; CPA certification or master’s degree preferred.
- Advanced Excel skills, including complex formulas and financial modeling.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills; comfortable interacting with partners and senior stakeholders.
- Familiarity with partnership tax concepts is preferred.
- Experience with automation tools (e.g., Power Query, Power BI, and Tableau) is highly desirable.
Qualifications
- Minimum 7 years experience in accounting or financial analysis.

- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.

Compensation provided for using, not obtaining, the rating.
Schedule
Candidates that live within a commutable distance from our Tempe, AZ and St. Louis, MO home office locations are expected to work in the office four days per week effective June 1, 2026.
