Accounting Lead

About the role

We are seeking an experienced and proactive Accounting Lead to join our growing Finance team. This is an exciting opportunity for a seasoned accounting professional with strong technical expertise and a hands-on mindset who thrives in fast-paced, high-growth environments.

Responsibilities

• Lead core accounting operations, owning the month-end close and financial reporting processes
• Partner closely with cross-functional teams to support scale and operational excellence
• Strengthen financial controls and improve systems and processes as the business continues to grow rapidly

Requirements

• A collaborative, ownership-driven mindset and desire to grow with a fast-moving team
• Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Accounting or a related field
• 4-7 years of progressive Accounting and Financial Operations experience, prior experience in a startup, fintech, or SaaS environment strongly preferred
• Previous experience with end-to-end ownership of financial statement preparation
• Advanced proficiency in Excel and significant experience with accounting systems
• Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, and internal controls
• Experience with tax provision and compliance, audit, billing systems, and/or systems implementations
• Exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities independently

Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in Accounting or a related field
• 6+ years of progressive Accounting and Financial Operations experience, prior experience in a startup, fintech, or SaaS environment strongly preferred
• Experience with end-to-end ownership of financial statement preparation
• Advanced proficiency in Excel and significant experience with accounting systems
• Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, and internal controls
