Position Summary We are seeking an experienced Accounting & HR Coordinator to support our Accounting and Human Resources functions. This position will have primary responsibility for day-to-day accounts payable administration, assist with the preparation and processing of bi-weekly payroll, and provide hands-on support across a variety of Human Resources activities. This is an ideal opportunity for someone with a strong accounting/accounts payable background who has some exposure to payroll and Human Resources and is interested in expanding their HR experience. Reports To: Director of Human Resources FLSA Status: Non-exempt Employment Status: Full-Time, Temporary Schedule: Monday-Friday Key Responsibilities Manage accounts payable from receipt of invoice through payment, including coding, obtaining approvals and entering invoices into the accounting system Process employee expense reports, verify receipts and ensure appropriate documentation and coding Maintain accurate accounts payable records and supporting documentation Assist with vendor setup and maintain vendor information Respond to vendor inquiries and investigate and resolve invoice and payment discrepancies Ensure established accounts payable policies and procedures are followed Support reconciliations, audits and other accounting activities as needed Partner with the Controller on accounts payable processes and projects Payroll Assist with preparation and processing of bi-weekly multi-state payroll using Paylocity Review timecards and follow up on missing punches, approvals and other outstanding payroll items Process payroll changes including new hires, terminations, pay changes, bonuses and other special payments Assist with preparation and reconciliation of bonus payrolls Review payroll deductions and other payroll information for accuracy Maintain payroll records and supporting documentation Assist with payroll reporting, reconciliations and year-end activities Research routine payroll discrepancies and escalate issues as appropriate Human Resources Support the hiring and onboarding process, including candidate tracking, pre-employment requirements and new-hire documentation Coordinate background checks and drug screens and follow up on outstanding requirements Process routine employee changes and maintain employee information in Paylocity Assist with new-hire onboarding and employee offboarding Maintain personnel files and HR records Assist employees with routine benefits enrollment and HRIS questions Support benefits administration, including enrollment changes and documentation Process employment verification requests and other routine employee documentation Assist with workers' compensation administration, including documentation and claim follow-up Maintain leave documentation and tracking and assist with administrative follow-up Assist with garnishment administration and required documentation Track performance reviews, required training and other HR deadlines and follow up as needed Prepare routine employee correspondence, reports and HR documentation Respond to routine employee and manager questions and escalate matters requiring HR review Assist with HR projects, reporting and other initiatives as needed Benefits Panther Residential Management offers a comprehensive benefits package designed to support the well-being of our employees and their families. Requirements 3-5 years of accounts payable/accounting experience Hands-on experience processing invoices, expense reports, vendor payments and resolving accounts payable discrepancies Payroll experience preferred; experience with multi-state payroll is a plus Prior Human Resources experience or exposure strongly preferred, including experience with onboarding, employee records, benefits, HRIS or other HR administration Interest in developing broader Human Resources knowledge and responsibilities Experience with Paylocity or another HRIS/payroll system preferred Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word and Outlook Excellent attention to detail and ability to work accurately with financial and employee information Strong organizational skills, follow-through and ability to manage competing deadlines Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise appropriate judgment when handling sensitive information Comfortable working independently while recognizing when an issue requires escalation Strong interpersonal and communication skills Ability to perform the essential functions of the position, with or without reasonable accommodation
