About the role
An Accounting & Finance Co-Op/Intern is responsible for assisting in completing the daily activities of the Accounting team. This hybrid, full-time opportunity runs from May 10, 2027 to August 20, 2027, typically 36-40 hours per week.
Responsibilities
- Rotational assignments within Corporate Accounting including Inventory Costing, Revenue, Reporting, Leasing, and Financial Analysis.
- Integrate into a real-life work environment with day-to-day tasks such as data and cost analysis, posting journals, report writing, balance sheet reconciliations, and data management.
- Assist in monthly and quarterly closing responsibilities.
- Communicate with various levels of personnel throughout the organization, including management, plant operators, engineers, tradespersons, and contractors.
- Participate in department meetings and project-specific meetings.
- Adhere to Mosaic’s mission, guiding principles, and priorities.
- Complete special projects as assigned.
Requirements
- Junior level or above by May 2027, pursuing a bachelor's degree in accounting or finance.
- 2.75 GPA or higher.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook); proficiency with visualization/reporting tools is an asset.
- 1-2 years of experience volunteering, working with student/school organizations, or work experience is preferred.
- Previous internship or co-op experience is preferred.
- Reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license—ability to travel to and from sites and/or office.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States.
