About the role

You will play a critical leadership role in ensuring accurate, timely, and compliant financial reporting for ENGIE North America entities within scope. This role balances operational excellence, people leadership, and governance while driving process standardization, internal control maturity, and finance transformation initiatives aligned with ENGIE Group and GBS strategy.

Responsibilities

  • Own and oversee the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes, ensuring adherence to established close calendars and GBS standards
  • Ensure accuracy and completeness of general ledger activity, including accruals, revenue recognition, inventory, intercompany, fixed assets, cash, and manual journal entries
  • Review and analyze financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow) in collaboration with FP&A, identifying and explaining variances, trends, and risks
  • Direct the preparation, review, and submission of financial reporting packages, including statutory, management, off-balance-sheet, and KPI reporting
  • Own and maintain the design, maintenance, and continuous improvement of internal controls over financial reporting, including documentation, testing support, and remediation of control gaps
  • Oversee balance sheet governance, including reconciliations, aging reviews, and certification processes
  • Act as a key finance contact for internal audits, external audits, and regulatory reviews, ensuring timely and high-quality responses
  • Promote a culture of ethics, integrity, and compliance across GBS Accounting teams

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
  • A current CPA accreditation
  • A minimum of 10 years of progressive accounting experience, including leadership roles

Pay

Salary Range: $135,000 – $206,885 USD annually

Schedule

This role is eligible for our hybrid work policy; a minimum of 3 days working in the office, and 2 days working from home weekly.
