Accounting Clerk / Purchasing Agent

Manage all responsibilities based on the agency's mission, using individual choice, and all appropriate policies, procedures, and regulations. Conduct oneself in a way that reflects the highest standards of professional courtesy and ethical practices to people served, staff, guardians, families, and all outside contacts.
The Accounting Clerk manages daily transactions, providing vital clerical and administrative support to the Accounting Department to ensure accurate record-keeping and smooth financial operations. This position is also responsible for the purchasing of the agency’s weekly and monthly supplies through approved vendors and will lead the agency purchasing program to ensure staff have a clear channel to submit and receive orders. The Purchasing Agent will ensure that the purchasing program serves the mission of EP!C while remaining fiscally responsible.
Responsibilities
- Process daily accounting transactions and maintain accurate financial records.
- Enter invoices and receipts, and support audit compliance.
- Lead the purchasing of agency supplies through approved vendors, ensuring a clear and efficient process for placing and receiving orders.
- Manage vendor relationships, monitor pricing, and maintain purchasing records.
- Train staff on the ordering process.
Requirements
- Associate degree preferred.
- 1+ years of accounting experience.
- 1+ years of experience in a purchasing role.
- 1+ years of experience using accounting software.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, filters, sorting).
- Possess a valid driver’s license and automobile insurance.
