Accounting Clerk

We are looking for an Accounting Clerk to support daily financial operations for a team in Fresno, California. This contract opportunity with permanent potential is ideal for someone who enjoys accurate recordkeeping, organized workflows, and hands-on involvement with both payables and receivables. The role offers the chance to contribute to core accounting activities while maintaining timely and reliable transaction processing. Responsibilities: • Process vendor invoices, verify supporting documentation, and prepare payments with close attention to accuracy and deadlines. • Record incoming customer payments, reconcile balances, and help maintain current and complete accounts receivable records. • Enter financial information into accounting systems and spreadsheets while checking entries for completeness and correctness. • Use QuickBooks to update transactions, track account activity, and support routine bookkeeping tasks. • Review invoice details, resolve discrepancies with appropriate contacts, and ensure items are coded correctly before posting. • Assist with account reconciliations and provide administrative accounting support to keep financial records organized and audit-ready. • At least 1 year of experience in an accounting clerk or similar finance support position. • Working knowledge of accounts payable and accounts receivable processes. • Experience using QuickBooks in a finance support setting. • Strong data entry skills with a high level of accuracy and consistency. • Familiarity with invoice processing and transaction documentation. • Ability to manage multiple tasks, stay organized, and meet recurring deadlines.
