Accounting Clerk

About the role

We are currently seeking an experienced and highly skilled Accounting Clerk to join our dynamic team in the construction industry. As a key member of our accounting and finance team, you will be responsible for a variety of accounting, bookkeeping, and financial tasks, ensuring that our financial data is accurate, up to date, and processed in a timely manner. You will work closely with our financial team and have the opportunity to contribute to our financial strategies and decisions. Responsibilities

• Processing transactions and performing accounting duties such as account maintenance, recording entries, and reconciling books of accounts.
• Completing financial reports on a regular basis and providing information to the finance team.
• Assisting with budget control by monitoring budgets and comparing them with actual expenses.
• Preparing and submitting weekly/monthly reports, assisting in financial audits, and managing financial documentation.
• Assisting with the preparation of monthly/yearly closings.
• Collaborating with the rest of the accounting department to improve financial procedures.

Qualifications

• A minimum of 3 years of experience in the accounting field, preferably within the construction industry.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with other accounting software.
• Exceptional knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting, cost accounting, and cost control principles, and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
• Excellent mathematical skills and an understanding of data privacy standards.
• Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• A degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred.
