About the role
We are seeking an Accounting Associate to join Talos’ fast-growing, tech-focused Financial Operations team. This is a hands-on role supporting core accounting processes, financial reporting, and day-to-day operations. The position is well-suited to someone looking to build and deepen their accounting expertise while contributing to a dynamic digital assets and financial services environment.
Responsibilities
- Aid with monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes
- Prepare balance sheet and P&L reconciliations
- Prepare and record journal entries
- Record invoices and support the order-to-pay cycle
- Aid in the preparation of financial statements in line with US GAAP
- Support treasury activities as needed
- Aid in preparing audit support and responding to auditor requests
- Aid in system implementations and upgrades, including accounting and finance ERPs
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 1–3 years of relevant accounting experience; public accounting/PCAOB experience preferred
- CPA or progress toward CPA preferred
- Experience supporting financial reporting and close cycles preferred
- Experience in SaaS, software, or financial services environments preferred
- Familiarity with IFRS, COSO, and SOX frameworks preferred
- Strong attention to detail with a hands-on, proactive approach
- Ability to operate in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
- Experience with accounting/finance ERP systems preferred
