Accounting Associate

About the role

The Accounting Associate will perform procedures such as document gathering, data analysis, and assisting with preparation of deliverables under the supervision of their Manager.

• Execute day-to-day accounting and audit activities of the engagement and conduct fieldwork daily
• Gather audit-related data
• Demonstrate awareness and knowledge of Federal Government’s financial and management responsibilities
• Assist in drafting and preparing project deliverables
• Utilize technology to share knowledge with team members, develop skills, and continually learn
• Must be a self-starter, self-motivated, and results-oriented
• Demonstrate an understanding of accounting and auditing concepts and apply them to client situations
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Requirements

• BA/BS degree from an accredited college/university in Accounting or Business Administration with a major in Accounting
• Minimum of 1 year of Accounting and Auditing Experience
• Willing to travel up to 50%
• Must have an active Interim Secret Clearance (or higher, such as Secret, Top Secret or TS/SCI) to be considered for this role (requires U.S. citizenship)

Qualifications

• CPA highly desirable or 150 credit hours to qualify for CPA
• Awareness and knowledge of Federal Government’s financial and management responsibilities

Pay

The expected salary range for this position is between $60,000 and $78,000. This range represents base pay only and does not include straight time pay for hours worked over 40 per week, company contributions towards paid benefits, and/or bonuses. Actual compensation will be determined based on specific experience, education, work location, clearance level, and other factors permitted by law. This position is eligible for bonuses when applicable.
