Accounting Associate (AR)
About the role
We are recruiting for a driven and collaborative Accounting Associate for Accounts Receivable. You will report to the Finance Controller and will have an onsite work structure in Creedmoor, NC.
Responsibilities
- Performs Daily Customer Invoicing
- Posts customer payments by recording cash, checks, and credit card transactions
- Maintains customer accounts receivable balances and contacts customers to collect on past due accounts
- Investigates and resolves issues related to billing, short payments, over payments, credit memos, etc.
- Enters and reconciles G/L accounts for Accounts Receivable
- Aids with General Ledger journal entries
- Assists with weekly check runs, monitors emails for payables/receivables, etc.
- Performs administrative and office support activities for various departments within the organization
Requirements
- Associates Degree in Accounting preferable
- 2+ years accounting experience using an ERP system in a manufacturing environment is a must
- Proficient MS Office skills (Excel, Word, etc)
- High attention to detail with the ability to multi-task and prioritize work
- Excellent communication, customer service and interpersonal skills
- Willing and able to work in a dynamic team environment
- Solid analytical thinking skills and creative, resourceful problem-solving competencies
