Accounting Assistant Manager
Location: Belleville, IL
About the role
Support the month-end close process to ensure reporting is delivered by deadlines, including leading components or business units. Support the EMEA region by ensuring financial analysis, reconciled accounts, appropriate accruals, and approved journal entries for all responsible entities. Participate in developing accounting policies and procedures to improve efficiency and control over financial reporting. Compile information for tax return preparation and audits. Work with external auditors to provide requests and clarify risks for efficient audit completion. Ensure compliance with local accounting and regulatory policies, including various reporting requirements. Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure accurate and timely financial statement reporting. Manage the preparation of workpapers supporting statutory and consolidated annual audits, including financial statements, corporate tax returns, and VAT returns with support from outsourced firms. Ensure internal controls are followed in accordance with policy.
Requirements
- Familiarity with US GAAP and IFRS
- Experience with large ERP systems, Microsoft Dynamics or Microsoft AX is a plus
- Understanding of accounting and financial processes, including risk and financial controls
- Management of staff is desirable but not required
- Experience working with EMEA entities is preferable

$90,000.00 to $105,000.00
