Accounting and Financial System Analyst

Duties & Responsibilities

• Assists with routine financial accounting processes including Accounting and Finance master data creation and maintenance, journal entries, account analysis, and reconciliations
• Aid with SOX testing and other department routines and projects as needed
• Create and maintain Accounting and Finance reports and update existing reports to meet business needs
• Support management on project work, process development, and process improvement opportunities
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial statements by collecting, reviewing business performance and financial information; summarizing financial status
• Act as a liaison for special projects outside of Finance in coordination with other functions across the organization
• Perform other duties as assigned

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

• 3-5 years of accounting and/or audit experience
• Experience in large ERP systems such as SAP
• Experience working with large data sets and databases, including Snowflake, and building queries using SQL or other data visualization tools such as Tableau and Power BI
• Expert in MS Excel
• Foundational accounting knowledge and experience with financial close and reporting process
• Strong technical aptitude with excellent problem-solving and root cause analysis skills
• Excellent communication, planning, and organization skills
• Possess a high degree of self-motivation and initiative
• Capable of multi-tasking under high pressure

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree (4 years)
• Knowledge acquired through 3 to up to 5 years of work experience

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Financial Information Systems
