Accounting Analyst - Ford Credit Bank

About the role

Join the ground floor of Ford Credit Bank—a de novo Utah industrial bank—as a BSA/AML Analyst. You will report to the BSA/AML Officer and serve as a critical member of our second line of defense, performing transaction monitoring, customer due diligence, and investigations to protect the bank and ensure regulatory compliance. This is a unique opportunity to help Ford launch and scale a new banking institution from the ground up.

The Bank, headquartered in Salt Lake City, Utah, will create innovative and simplified banking solutions to help customers finance the purchase of new Ford vehicles, parts, accessories, and software, while also offering competitive rates on FDIC-insured savings accounts and certificates of deposit. The Bank is designed to uphold the highest standards of integrity, ethics, and regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities

• Prepare standard (recurring) and non-recurring journal entries
• Ensure all journal entries are properly supported and documented, and that close metrics are completed accurately and on time
• Perform monthly reconciliations of key balance sheet accounts, investigating and resolving any discrepancies in a timely manner
• Support internal corporate audits, external audits, and statutory examinations
• Assist in the preparation of financial and regulatory reports
• Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation of accounting processes and procedures
• Conduct accounting research to ensure proper accounting and disclosure of transactions
• Support adherence to financial controls
• Collaborate with team members throughout our global organization

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting required
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in accounting or auditing
• Understanding of U.S. GAAP
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, including data analysis techniques
• Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, with all levels of the organization
• Ability to generate ideas for improvement and implement those ideas independently
• Prior Big 4 public accounting experience or equivalent experience with an SEC registrant or Bank
• Positive, “can-do” attitude
• Experience with SAP

Pay

This position is a salary grade 6 and ranges from $74,300-$124,500. Final determination of salary grade will be based on candidate's skills and experience, and base salary will be set within the applicable range according to job scope, responsibility, and competitive market value.

Schedule

This position is hybrid. Candidates who are in commuting distance to a Ford hub location may be required to be onsite four or more days per week.
