Accountant-Tax/Audit

About the role

We are a growing midsize CPA firm specializing in the audits of labor unions and their related fringe benefit funds. We have three locations. Our home office is in Hauppauge and we have offices in Iselin, NJ and Floral Park, NY.

Responsibilities

• Prepare tax returns for corporations, partnerships and individuals
• Perform audit functions
• Report to engagements on an as needed basis
• Travel is required

Requirements

• 1 + years of public accounting experience in both tax and audit
• CPA preferred but not required
• Pro-Systems and/or Caseware a plus!
• MS Suite Time management skills
• Detail oriented

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field
• Experience: 1 + years of public accounting experience in both tax and audit

Skills

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Proficient in MS Suite
