Accountant - SonSet Solutions

About the role

The candidate will use their accounting and finance expertise and attention to detail to ensure the faithful stewardship of resources that support our global ministry efforts. They will help manage the financial operations that enable our team to develop technology solutions for the Great Commission with excellence and integrity.

Responsibilities

• Process and deposit donations, ensuring accurate record-keeping in QuickBooks
• Generate and verify donor reports for various payment batches and schedules
• Review, approve, and process expense reports and reimbursements
• Manage credit card transactions and assign charges to appropriate accounts
• Create purchase orders and coordinate approvals for recurring expenses
• Oversight petty cash management and monthly reconciliation
• Track and allocate departmental expenses and copy charges
• Support financial reporting and maintain accurate donation records

Requirements

• A follower of Jesus Christ with a heart for the gospel
• Committed to SonSet Solutions' Statement of Faith
• Full-time position, onsite in Elkhart, Indiana

Qualifications

• Experienced in accounting software, particularly QuickBooks and Donor Perfect
• Strong numerical accuracy and attention to detail
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
• Comfortable with ACH/credit card processing
