About The Role

Schulte Hospitality Group is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our dynamic team. This role offers an exciting opportunity for individuals with prior hotel or hospitality experience, with flexibility for remote work. Candidates based within a 30-mile radius of Louisville, KY, are expected to maintain a regular in-office presence. The Staff Accountant will play a crucial role in managing financial records, ensuring accurate reconciliation, and supporting month-end closing processes across multiple properties. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, proficiency in financial software, and excellent communication abilities. Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field
• Prior experience in hotel or hospitality accounting preferred
• Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, and PC-based General Ledger software
• Strong financial and analytical skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
• Knowledge of bank reconciliations and month-end closing procedures
• Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality
• Strong problem-solving skills and sound judgment
• Mathematical proficiency and attention to detail

Responsibilities

• Complete multiple bank reconciliations accurately and in a timely manner for all assigned properties
• Perform all month-end closing activities within the designated schedule for the assigned portfolio
• Ensure timely and accurate completion of balance sheet reconciliations
• Prepare and distribute month-end owner reports based on ownership requirements
• Communicate effectively with the Operations Team, General Managers, and other internal departments regarding financial matters
• Research and resolve account variances from supported schedules
• Provide daily and weekly cash flow forecasts to support financial planning
• Maintain compliance with all applicable local, state, and federal regulations
• Handle guest and hotel data with the highest level of confidentiality
• Perform additional duties as assigned to meet business objectives and support team success
