Accountant (Remote)
Role Overview
We are hiring for one of our clients, seeking a Senior Accountant to oversee monthly and annual accounting close processes while ensuring compliance with US GAAP standards. The role involves preparing and reviewing financial statements in alignment with company policies and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the month-end close process, including journal entries, reconciliations, and financial statement preparation.
- Ensure accurate and timely reporting of financial data in compliance with US GAAP and internal controls.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to analyze variances and provide actionable insights.
- Oversee accounts payable and receivable functions, including vendor and customer reconciliations.
- Support external audits and tax filings by maintaining documentation and addressing inquiries.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required; CPA or CPA candidate preferred.
- Minimum 5 years of progressive accounting experience, including public accounting or large corporate environments.
- Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite, SAP, Oracle) and advanced Excel skills.
- Strong understanding of US GAAP, internal controls, and financial reporting regulations.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
