Accountant - Project Based (Deltek)

We are partnering with a well-established professional services organization in Boston that is looking to add an Accountant to its growing team. This is a newly created position offering exposure to a variety of accounting functions, client projects, and collaboration across multiple offices. This opportunity is ideal for a Staff or Senior Accountant who enjoys a hands-on role, takes initiative, and wants to contribute to a collaborative finance team. What You'll Do:Oversee project accounting activities, including project setup, data entry, and labor cost transfers.Coordinate client billing, invoicing, and collections.Prepare financial reports for clients and assist with internal financial statements.Reconcile accounts, investigate discrepancies, and maintain accurate financial records.Support collection efforts across multiple office locations.Maintain client records and communications within the accounting system.Coordinate required insurance documentation.Partner with accounting leadership on special projects and process improvements.
