Accountant (O&G industry)

About the role

We're working on an exciting search for a local Energy client. This is a rare opportunity for a junior-level candidate to join the space with no prior industry experience. Our client will train their new hire in all aspects of Energy Accounting.

Our client is seeking an early career Accountant to join their small, well-established Accounting team. Our client will consider degreed Staff Accountants with 1–2 years of professional experience, in either Corporate Accounting or Public Audit. Client will also consider exceptional recent graduates.

Responsibilities

• Prepare journal entries
• Perform account reconciliations
• Complete month-end close activities
• Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable
• Provide support to the Operations Accounting team

Requirements

• Strong grasp of accounting fundamentals
• Strong communication skills
• Positive attitude and eagerness to learn

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field
• CPA certification (or progress toward) is a plus

Pay

Competitive salary in the $60,000–$85,000 range.

Schedule

Fully in-office role in South Denver.
