Accountant - Machine Specialist - Junior

About the role

We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Accountant to join our team. In this role, you will support the financial and operational processes related to equipment sales and inventory. You will work cross-functionally with Sales, Operations, Engineering, and Accounting to ensure accurate order processing, billing, inventory management, and reporting while helping maintain efficient business processes. Responsibilities

• Review sales documentation, customer purchase orders, contracts, and related paperwork to ensure financial information is complete and accurate.
• Process equipment orders and work orders within the company's ERP system.
• Maintain product and equipment records in the ERP system.
• Process freight billing associated with equipment shipments.
• Create and manage purchase orders for equipment.
• Review supplier invoices and order confirmations for accuracy and ensure timely processing.
• Process equipment returns and coordinate with internal teams to ensure accurate accounting.
• Maintain reporting related to equipment returns and inventory activity.
• Monitor open equipment repair orders and assist with order management.
• Support accurate billing for a variety of equipment transactions, including standard sales, leases, rentals, and other billing arrangements.
• Update customer and sales records following invoicing activities.
• Collaborate with Operations and Work Order teams to ensure timely completion and accurate closure of work orders.
• Assist with annual physical inventory counts.

Requirements

• 2 to 4+ years of work experience in a technical environment with experience that includes installing, training, and repairing industrial machines and systems.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field.
• Experience with ERP systems is a plus.
• Previous accounting, finance, operations, or administrative experience is preferred but not required.
• Strong computer proficiency, including Microsoft Excel.
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
