Accountant - Investment Operations, North American Finance Group

Responsibilities

• Work with the parent company to maintain the PAM investment sub-ledger as it relates to Allied World investments by maintaining appropriate monitoring activities (including appropriate recording, reconciling and accounting therein)
• Responsible for cash-matching in the PAM system
• Assist with the preparation of period end group and local reporting for Allied World and its group companies
• Work closely with the US STAT team to assist in providing applicable investment balances, schedules and notes for all US Stat Companies
• Maintain and implement good internal control procedures and ensure a high standard of compliance
• Assist in the preparation of ad hoc reports and projects as required

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
• 1-2 years of experience working in the finance/accounting department in a corporate environment
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office with highly developed Excel skills
• Strong organizational and analytical skills with attention to detail
• Strong work ethic, commitment to meeting deadlines, and ability to work overtime as needed
• Strong communication skills and ability to prioritize
• Ability to work well independently as well as across teams

Nice to have

• Experience with investments (accounting, analysis, projects, etc.)
• Working knowledge of PAM for Investments
• Knowledge of statutory filing software WINGS
• Working knowledge of an accounting package (e.g. SAP)

Pay

The salary range for this role is between $56,000 and $80,000. The actual base pay may be above or below the listed range and is determined by factors such as complexity, location, scope of the role, experience, skills, education, training, and other conditions of employment.
